Floor Plans:

A technical definition of a floor plan is a diagram, which is drawn to scale, of the layout of all rooms, spaces and physical features at a single level of a structure. You will receive a floor plan for each level of the house plan you have selected.

Floor plans show you the dimensions of each wall, providing you with the area of each room. Each room will be labeled and show a basic layout of the position of doors, windows, closets, bathrooms, and stairs leading to other floors when applicable. Just like reading a map, you can navigate through the home and see what rooms are available and where your rooms will connect. They will also include fixtures, such as your sinks, heaters, furnaces, and fireplaces.

Your house plan set will also feature elevations, which are different from floor plans. Elevations are meant to show how an object will look from a side view. You will receive front, rear and side elevations of your home, so that you can see what the house will look like from the outside as well.
